Mat to Mic is a practical, in person workshop for newly qualified instructors and experienced instructors who want to refine and strengthen how they teach, this workshop focuses on building clarity, confidence and consistency in the room.
Training gives you the exercises, the foundations and the knowledge to begin but stepping into a live class is often where things feel less clear. Knowing what to teach is one thing and knowing how to structure it, deliver it and hold a room is another.
Rather than introducing new material this workshop focuses on applying what you already know.

Mat to Mic is created and led by Alicia Boxall, Reformer Collective’s Lead Instructor. Alicia is collaborating with Integrate Academy in supporting newly qualified instructors at a key transition point in their careers.
Delivered as a small group sessions post-qualification, Mat to Mic offers graduates a clear, supported next step into teaching. Reinforcing confidence, readiness and real world application of their training.
The emphasis is on the skills that shape how a class feels to a client. How you plan and pace a class, how you cue clearly without overcomplicating, how you build progression through layering and how you respond to the room in real time.
Working in a small group you will move beyond planning on paper and into teaching. Time is spent practising refining and developing confidence in a supportive structured environment with clear guidance throughout.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a clearer approach to class planning, stronger transitions and more concise cueing; leaving with a deeper understanding of how to lead a room with confidence and control.
